Concept Art: Interior design
Early-stage concept art, particularly sketchy illustrations of interior spaces, can communicate both a physical and emotional story very quickly and effectively. The physical layout of the space is achieved through accurate perspective and sound drafting skills. The emotional intent of the space is achieved by selecting a supportive camera angle (composition), proper lighting (color palette) and appropriate atmosphere. Often the choices are rather experimental, but because the drawings go very quickly, I end up doing several drawings of the same space, or several paintings with varying color palettes in order to see the best options.
